London Policemen; “London Bobbies”
London Policemen often referred to as ‘Bobbies’ as well as ‘Coppers’ were first introduced to London in 1829. The Metropolitan Police service covers the Greater London area or 32 London Boroughs. The City of London which is not a London borough has its own Police force.
